I don't usually pick a word for the year. But now,

I don't usually pick a word for the year. But now, there is a word nudging at my heart. It's a word that scares me. Maybe because in order to live it involves risk.

The word? Courage.

Merriam-Webster lists these as some of the synonyms: brave, fearless, intrepid, moral strength, and the one I like the most: greatheartedness.

Today, looking for the encouragement to be courageous, I found this quote from John Wayne, "Courage is being scared to death... and saddling up anyway."

In the coming months, I'll share my journey into courage with you. Most of my i sights will be from the Bible but now and then, they will come from other sources.
